A Real Life Example Of A Father's Rights Case, And How You Can Use His Strategies In Divorce Court
Many fathers contact me when they’re at the end of their rope. Their ex-wives are “winning” in court, the father feels like he’s going to the cleaners, and he’s not sure where else to turn. He wants his kids, but just can’t seem to make it happen in court against his ex-wife’s attorney and his dirty, backhanded tricks.
But in the case of this one father, that didn’t stop him. He started with sending settlement letters to his wife. During the court trials, various statements from supporters on his ex-wife’s side were shared, testimonies were made, and instead of just accepting the accusations as they were, this man did the unthinkable–he turned around and sued them all for defamation of character. This tort claim lawsuit came as a shock to everyone. It didn’t stop this dad from continuing to be pro-active. In fact, he continued sending settlement letters to his ex-wife.
Over the course of time, his wife finally agreed to mediation and the tort lawsuits were dropped. But the lawsuits were a real turning point for this man and his divorce case–it showed his ex-wife and her attorney that he was serious about what he wanted from the divorce settlement, and that he wasn’t going down without giving it his all. His persistence ended up paying off BIG TIME.
I’m not saying sue your ex-wife and her attorney for any random accusations, but I am saying that you can either sit on the sidelines and take a beating to the wallet, or you can stand up for yourself and what you believe in and fight with every bit of energy you have. By thinking outside of the box, this man was able to get everything he wanted from the divorce settlement–along with a little bit of admiration from the courtroom!
